In 2001 is appointed by the Ministry of University and Research, Professor of First Band at the Academy of Fine Arts in Macerata (where he teaches courses in Visual Communication Media). He received in 2000 as a result of competition for titles in Frosinone, service and test, enabling the teaching of History and Director of Entertainment. E' stato docente in Economia dello Spettacolo in due corsi FSE organizzati dalle Province di Pesaro e Macerata. E’ stato docente in “Management dello spettacolo” al Master sulla produzione del Teatro, attivato nel 2006 dall’Accademia di Macerata.
Si laurea in Lettere all’Università degli Studi di Bologna, con indirizzo Disciplina dello Spettacolo.

Massimo Puliani ha diretto l'inaugurazione del Teatro della Fortuna di Fano (settore Prosa) nel 1998 realizzado la co-produzione di due spettacoli: "Wings on Rock" di Robert Wilson e "Mama Mamele Mama..." di Moni Ovadia .
Nel 1996 Massimo Puliani consegna al Piccolo Teatro di Milano (Teatro Studio), a nome del rettore Carlo Bo , il premio di drammaturgia a Giorgio Strehler . The great director leads to Fano history "Arlecchino Servant of Two Masters" and Strehler devotes a book SvobodaMagika "which deals with the" Faust-Fragments, "which he directed and acted the same.

As theatrical Massimo Puliani produces about twenty shows since 1981, focusing on contemporary authors, including Mayakovsky, Beckett, Pasolini, Genet, and the Italians Koltes Baldini and Anselmi. Produce for RAI TV and theatrical releases some part in the video work PRIX ITALY: HARLEY DAVIDSON. In 2006 he directed television "Apocalyptic Alphabet" by and with Edoardo Sanguineti and Stefano Scodanibbio and images of Henry Baj.
